Will Kim Come Up Trumps After Visiting President At White House To Discuss Prison Reform

Kim Kardashian the queen of contouring and Spanx is making her way to the White House to discuss prison reform.

Kardashian will reportedly not be bringing her publicist, sisters or camera crew from her family’s reality television show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”

Apparently, Kardashian and Jared Kushner, have been in talks about prison reform, and she’s looking to have Trump pardon Alice Johnson, a 62-year-old great-grandmother serving a life sentence without parole for a first-time drug offense.

Kim learned about Johnson’s situation through a video on Mic and gathered a team of Los Angeles-based lawyers, including her own attorney, Shawn Holley, to contact the White House on Johnson’s behalf.

The star tweeted that Johnson’s situation was “unfair” earlier this month and she spoke about prison reform with Mic and said she’s trying to help Johnson:

Kim said “If you think about a decision that you’ve made in your life and you get life without the possibility of parole for your first-time nonviolent offense, there’s just something so wrong with that.”

Johnson was expected to be released during the Obama administration after being imprisoned for more than 21 years.

However, In December 2016 she was passed over when President Obama who granted clemency to 231 people, who were mostly similar nonviolent offenders.

Kardashian has been in talks with Kushner, who has advocated for prison reform, as reform has been Kushner’s focal points since joining the administration, he has met with senators and backed legislation on the issue after hosting a roundtable.

During his administration, the president has issued pardons for various people most recently the late heavyweight boxer Jack Johnson.

On Wednesday reality tv star Kim Kardashian West will meet with President Trump and Jared Kushner in the Oval Office to discuss prison reform.

Kardashian is set to ask the president about a move to pardon 62-year-old great-grandmother Alice Marie Johnson who’s serving a life sentence for a nonviolent drug offense.
