A 3-year-old boy was reported missing from a library outside San Francisco back in 2015.
Tim Watson, a Valley Transportation Authority bus driver, saw a man and boy on his bus who resembled the description of the suspect and child around an hour later.
At first, Tim didn’t think much f the report until he noticed the boy was crying.
As a dad with two of his own children, he tapped into his fatherly instincts and decided to stop the bus and pull over.
Tim had devised a brilliant plan, instead of questioning the suspect directly started asking all of the passengers if they’d seen a missing backpack.
In reality, in order to see if his suspicions were accurate, he needed to get to the perpetrator.
Walking toward the back of the bus Tim noticed as described on the news a boy wearing a pair of red Crocs on his feet, so he knew he was right.
Tim secretly contacted the police as he pretended to continue searching for the missing backpack.
Police officers were waiting at the bus arrived at the station.
Getting off the bus with the missing 3-year-old in his arms was the 23-year-old suspect.
Authorities had to”pry the child away” from the kidnapper, before taking him into custody.
Thankfully the child appeared to have no injuries.
When Tim learned this was indeed an abduction and his instincts were correct he broke down saying:
“This could have been my child that was abducted… I feel I did what any father would do.”
